Day 35: Working Off Last Nights Dinner (Deja vu?)

Yes I had a large uncomfortable dinner last night. My stomach has shrunk and eating a large meal is agony. I did manage to workout on the treadmill this morning thank goodness. I really needed to work off a that dinner.

Lunch was no better today. I am so tired of eating. I am supposed to go for dinner, but I am still too full and I have a headache. I think I will just stay in my hotel room and read. Just relax and let my large lunch settle in my distended gut.

Today's Workout Stats

Time: 34 minutes (2 - warm up / 30 - brisk walk / 2 - cool down)
Speed: 3.0 mph
Incline: 8%
Calories Burned: 489

The treadmill at the hotel lets me enter my weight to give me a more accurate measure of calories burned.

Today's Meals

Breakfast
2 cups black coffee
1 cup Special K
1 Slimfast shake

Lunch
15 cooked prawns
1 egg roll
1 spring roll
assorted cooked meats
Chinese veggies

Dinner
1 coffee w/ half and half
1 black coffee
No food. I am still full from Lunch

I have got to stop eating so much. The calories are one thing, but it is how full and uncomfortable I feel. I am certainly not enjoying my bloated and painful gut. Tomorrow I am on a strict reduction as to the amount of food. Even though I have been eating larger portions, the food has at least been healthy, but the amount has to stop. Tomorrow is a new day!

As always I will keep you posted.

G'day Big Fella,

I see the shrinking stomach syndrome is well and truly underway and you're now grappling with how much you can comfortably eat.

At your next main meal, try this exercise.

If possible, stop eating half way through the meal, you know, set it aside (yeah it will go cold, you can always heat it up again). Now at this point you will probably be thinking, "Man I am still hungry, what is this crap."

If you can, wait fifteen to twenty minutes. If you still feel like eating after that point - the time it takes for food to start registering in your stomach - then have a bit more. If you don't feel like eating more, congratulations, you now have lunch for tomorrow.

Keep up the great work!
