Day 26: Ah.. The Sweet Smell of Sweat In The Morning

Holy cow! Talk about fighting. I fought every step to not go back to bed and enjoy a few extra minutes of sleep instead of working out this morning. I fought the good fight and won. I did manage to drag my rather hefty ass down to the fitness area and do my workout.

I stayed up later than I wanted too last night. Remember yesterday I said that I wanted to go to bed early? Well that plan fell by the wayside. I didn't get to bed until 1:00am. I got home from my dinner at a friends house and then ended up talking to my wife on the phone for quite a while. I do have to say that I did a bonehead thing when I was home last week and I have to apologize to my wife in front of the entire world. Dear, I am very sorry! I inadvertently hurt her feelings and being a guy I was totally oblivious. Again I am sorry.

Today is my last full day at the hospital. Tomorrow is a travel day and I fly back home. I doubt I will workout tomorrow considering I have to leave the hotel at least by 5:00am to catch my flight in Memphis.

Toda's Workout Stats

Time: 34 Minutes (2 warm up - 30 brisk walk - 2 cool down)
Speed: 2.7 to 2.9 Miles per hour
Incline: 8%

Today's Meals

Breakfast:
2 cups coffee (Black)
1 Bowl Special K w/ 2% milk
1 Banana

Lunch:
Garden salad w/ Honey Mustard dressing (1.5 oz +/-)
Iceberg lettuce
Carrots
Cucumber
Broccoli
Cherry Tomatoes
Sunflower seeds

Dinner
1 tuna salad sandwich on rye bread with lettuce and tomatoes
1 large American ice tea (sweet tea)
1 decaf coffee w/ coffeemate

Dinner was OK tonight. I could have gone crazy and stuffed myself, but I just didn't have the desire. It was a nice change to crave the largest, fattest and greasy meal. Even after having my sandwich I was full. I didn't feel like I had to eat anything else. i think if I did eat something else my stomach you have felt uncomfortable. Dinner did come with a 1/2 cup to a cup of coleslaw. Now I normally like coleslaw, but this 'slaw tasted like it was left outside for the last 2 days in the sun. Amazingly enough I didn't eat it. I am getting to the point that if I am going to stuff myself with calories, I want them to be on good, healthy food. Tomorrow is a travel day, so I will be on the run. My goal tomorrow is to try to eat healthy while dashing from plane to plane and airport to airport. FUN!

As always I will keep you posted

This is awesome news, it means your stomach has started shrinking! Remember those days that you could just eat and eat and eat; and while your stomach would fill, you could just keep eating without feeling grossly full?

Well my friend, those days are coming to an end. At some point in the future you will try to eat a bit more than what is "normal" for you now, maybe you will lose control and have a massive meal like you used to, well I guarantee that when you do that you will feel terrible, and I'm not talking about guilt here either (although that sucks too). You will literally groan with pain and uncomfortableness and you may even have to have a puke because your stomach can literally no longer hold the same amount as it used to, even if it was a few months ago.

Yeah, I'll admit it, I'm telling you that through experience. I only did it once, around June this year when my weight had reached about 170lbs. Man I have never felt so crook in the guts without the assistance of alcohol.

Keep it up, Mate. You can do it!
