Day 28: Thank you all!
Thank you all. I have had so many people wish me well and some have put some real nice comments on my blog.
This is a new and tough journey for me. When I started this blog I didn't tell anyone. It was just for me. My wife didn't even know about it. Slowly I have been letting more and more people know about or hear about my blog. It is hard to face your demons and even tougher to face them with the world watching.
Most people could obviously tell I was over weight (DUH!) I mean I am not the poster boy to low cut, slim legged jeans. Some people may have had and Idea how much I weighed, others may not have. I remember people saying "So your like 250 pounds, right?" and I would scream and do a little dance inside. YES! I thought to myself another one fooled. When I started this journey I wasn't sure if I was going to put my weight down, but you know I almost have too. Just like an alcoholic I have to face my issues and be honest.
Again I want to thank you all for your comments and well wishes. For those of you that didn't want to leave a comment because you thought I might get offended, don't worry. The first thing that happens when you become fat is you get a nice thick skin. Fat people make up 70% of the North American population, but we seem to be targeted the most and not by skinny people, but other fat people. Go figure.

Today's breakfast was the annual Santa's Breakfast with my wife's group. It was buffet style (the nemesis for a fat man) with eggs, sausage, pancakes, fruit and whip cream. Now in days past I could have torn through that buffet like a chainsaw through butter. The carnage would have been enormous. Kids crying, mothers hugging their babies and grown men crying, but I was the epitome of control and constraint. I did have a little sausage and hashbrowns, but a lot more fruit. Hey kids, this is the new me. I am fighting each meal one at a time. Just like a soldier or a football player I am taking each battle or each play one at a time and kicking ass! Tomorrow is weigh in day (yikes!) and I feel good. Lets see what happens.
As always I will keep you posted.
