Day 29: Weigh in Day (Yikes!!)
Today is weigh in day. I had a pretty good week. I ate OK and was able to do some workouts even with the delayed luggage and such. Once again, I am not too concerned if I don't lose any weight. As I have said this is a marathon not a sprint. i do feel a whole lot better and that is really what counts.
I always workout before my weigh in, but this morning I am having a little issue getting motivated. Don't worry it is not that bad. i am actually sitting here in my workout gear getting ready to workout. My wife has taken my oldest son skiing, so I am looking after my youngest boy. If you knew my youngest, you would know that he can't be trusted. I am sure that as soon as I hopped on the treadmill, he would be doing something he shouldn't.
Today is also the 4th weight in day. Here are the numbers

Total weight Lost last week: 2 lbs
Total weight Lost: 16 lbs

We went to a party for our friend. There was soooooo much food. You wouldn't believe the amount of good food this lady made. You name everything I like and it was there. I could have stuffed myself to the gills and still gone back for more. I showed a huge amount of control. I am so proud of myself. The only thing I might have changed was the drinks. I am pretty sure that alcohol slows down your metabolism, but who cares. It is not like I was a guzzling swine. I had 3 drinks over a fairly long period (4+ hours). maybe the inner child in me was celebrating my success so far.
Tomorrow I am back to work and in the office. It is the start of a new week and a new day.
As always I will keep you posted.

Another 2 pounds, you da Man!
You know its funny but the way you are approaching this was much like myself. Each meal is a "challenge" to be beaten and overcome. It's not about starvation, it's about eating right. Opportunities to show massive self control (like parties) are rewarded with immense self satisfaction when you realise you didn't belly up to the trough like you have in the past.
Morning tea at work and someone would offer me party pies, I love party pies (insert Cartman voice here), but I would graciously decline and inwardly I would be pumping my fist with a YES, another battle won!
Some people might think that those things are a bit silly, and that people like us lack self control, but not me. Our problem is we do lack self control, so I say any way you can gain control of your demons is a good way. If anyone thinks that is silly, well I hope their tapeworm up and dies and they get to lead the life we have lived in the past.
As you lose even more weight you will find that your energy levels increase by a huge amount. I notice in this entry you mention the wife took your oldest boy skiing, well mate, it won't be too far away when you can all go skiing together.
Eyes on the prize, big fella, eyes on the prize.
