Day 47: Home Today

I am home today. The perfect opportunity to workout right? well I am in my workout gear working myself up to hit the treadmill. Today seems to be a lack of motivation day. Don't worry it is nothing serious. I am going to do my workout. and this would be the 3rd or 4th day in a row that I did a workout (I think). Motivation is a funny mistress. She is here one minute and gone the next. This is were personal drive and determination have to become the champions of the day. OK, OK you win. I know get up off you behind and just do it already. Off to the treadmill I go.

Today's Workout Stats

Time: 34 minutes (2 - warm up / 20 - jog /10 - brisk walk / 2 - cool down)
Speed: 3.0 to 3.4 mph
Incline: 8%

That is right folks.....The Fat Man RAN today. YESSSS!!. What a fantastic feeling. Like I said above motivation can be a mysterious dame. I just said to myself "It's time to kick this up a little" I ran for 15 minutes straight, then took a 5 minutes at a brisk walk and then back to running for another 5 minutes. I have to say that I was sweating from every pore. Not a pretty picture. I continually monitored my heart rate. I don't want to get my heart rate too high and be counter productive. The highest my heart rate got was 171 beats per minute. My absolute maximum heart rate is 183. Anytime my heart rate is over 164, I am working my body too hard for a proper workout. The term is anaerobic workout instead of aerobic workout.

Today's Meals

Breakfast:
1 cup coffee w/ half and half

Lunch:
Miso soup
24 pcs Sushi
.....Tuna roll
.....Salmon roll
.....Kappa roll
.....Alberta roll
1 pc Tako Sushi (octopus)

Dinner:
small tortellini w/ meat sauce (1 cup total)
1 pc lasagna (1" x 4")
2/3 cup potato salad
