Day 43: Weigh in day (Oh Boy)

Today is the day i have dreaded the most over that last week. The trip to Jonesboro, Arkansas was a killer. Arkansas is truly the land of the deep fryer. I did not eat my best. Far too many buffets and greasy foods. My only saving grace is that I was able to workout quite a bit while I was there or I am sure I would have gained 10 pounds. I am just hoping to stay the same. It would be a little disappointing considering I am weighing myself for the first time in 2 weeks, but just staying the same is my goal today.

Today's Weight: 289 lbs
Last weeks weight: 289 lbs
Start Weight: 305 lbs
Total weight Lost last week: 0 lbs
Total weight Lost: 16 lbs

Well I am a little bit relieved and a little bit disappointed. I am relieved that I didn't gain any weight, but at the same time I am a little disappointed that I didn't lose any weight. These days are going to be the hardest on my journey. Our world is built on instant gratification ("I want it and I want it NOW!"). I have to remember that this is NOT a diet. This is a lifestyle change. I need to run this as a marathon and not a sprint. I am still on target for my December goal to lose 10 pounds (thanks in part to a good November).
